Glassblowing 3 - December 7 & 8

Saturday & Sunday: December 7 & 8
10:00 am - 3:00 pm
Instructor: Eli Zilke

Advance your glassblowing skills by moving beyond basic vessels and delving into the techniques and teamwork required to apply decorative “bits” such as handles, feet, wraps, and prunts. In this class, you’ll learn the art of adding these intricate details to your glass pieces and integrating them into your designs. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll develop the skills to enhance your work with these complex elements.

The class builds upon foundational color and shaping techniques, expanding your knowledge to include advanced methods such as mold designs and cane drawing. You’ll explore how to incorporate these techniques into your own creative pieces, allowing you to expand your glassblowing skills. By the end of the course, you’ll have refined your skills in both the technical and artistic aspects of glassblowing, enabling you to create more elaborate and personalized glass art.
