Passglas

(German) A tall cylindrical drinking vessel with trailed horizontal marks. Historically, they are considered to be a special vessel to be enjoyed with company as a welcoming ceremony where the glass would be passed and beverages would be shared.

The drinker was supposed to gulp only enough to reach the next mark, and then pass the glass to the next person. If he drank too much, he was required to reach the next mark, and so on.

These vessels are created by our talented glassblowing studio artists and 100% of the proceeds support WSG programming.
