Become a Hero!

It takes $2,500 per year to sponsor a FIRED UP! student. This amount represents the instruction, materials, transportation, after-school snacks, and field trip costs for one student for an entire year.

Fired Up! is Water Street Glassworks’ tuition-free after-school glass arts program for Benton Harbor teens, now in its 22nd year. The program provides students with hands-on instruction in the glass arts while fostering creativity, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.

Recently expanded to two days per week, Fired Up! gives students more time in the studios to build technical skills, strengthen relationships with instructors and peers, and grow at a supportive, sustainable pace. This additional time allows for deeper learning, greater focus, and increased opportunities for mentorship.

While students study glass and art, the impact of Fired Up! extends far beyond the studio. Participants develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, perseverance, and self-confidence—tools that support success in school, future careers, and all facets of their lives.

Your gift helps keep Fired Up! tuition-free and accessible, ensuring Benton Harbor teens continue to learn, grow, and thrive through the transformative power of the fire arts.
