Create a Murrine Glass Paperweight

An Introductory Glassblowing Experience

Come work one-on-one with one of our talented glassblowing instructors to create a unique murrine glass paperweight. Murrine are colorful patterns or images formed in glass cane and revealed when sliced into thin cross-sections. These designs are arranged on a marver (steel table) and picked up onto the surface of molten glass, then fully incorporated through blowing, heating, and shaping.

In this 30-minute hands-on workshop, you’ll choose your colors, gather glass from the furnace, apply your murrine, and help shape your very own paperweight. This experience is perfect for beginners and offers a fun, engaging introduction to the world of glassblowing.
