Water Street Glassworks Is Growing!
We're excited to announce that Water Street Glassworks is expanding!
As our classes, programs, and community engagement continue to grow, so does our need for space. We're taking over the space next to Forte Coffee in the Benton Harbor Arts District, creating new opportunities for students, artists, and the community.
The expansion will provide dedicated studios for fused glass, stained glass, and mosaics, along with additional gallery and storage space. Moving these programs into the new facility will also free up valuable room in our existing building, allowing us to expand our hot glass programming, develop new classes, and create more opportunities for our artists.
For more than two decades, Water Street Glassworks has been a place where people of all ages can discover the glass arts, explore their creativity, and connect with others. From our hands-on classes and workshops to our tuition-free FIRED UP! teen program, education and community have always been at the heart of what we do.
This expansion marks an exciting new chapter. It's about more than adding square footage—it's about building on that foundation, welcoming more people into our studios, creating new opportunities for learning and collaboration, and helping shape the future of glass arts in Benton Harbor.
Work is underway to transform the new space, and we're looking forward to sharing our progress as it takes shape.
Stay tuned for updates, a first look at the new studios, and ways you can be part of this exciting next chapter for Water Street Glassworks!
