Cane-Pulling Intensive: Filigrana & Zanfirico Techniques

In this immersive workshop, students will explore the foundational techniques of cane-pulling, focusing on the creation of filigrana and solid color canes encased in clear glass. Through guided, hands-on instruction, participants will gain a deeper understanding of cane preparation and application.

By the end of the workshop, students will leave with a variety of hand-pulled zanfirico cane—ready to incorporate into future glassblowing projects.

Prerequisite: Completion of GB3 is required for participation.

Materials required to purchase:

  • 1 rod of Marco Blanco by Bullseye
  • 2-3 kilos of transparent frit in size 1 or smaller
