Try It! 3-Day Studio Sampler (Ages 12–18)
Explore it all in this hands-on, three-day introduction to the glass arts! Perfect for curious and creative teens, this class gives students the opportunity to experience a variety of techniques while working in a professional studio environment.
Students will be guided by experienced instructors every step of the way, building skills, confidence, and creativity across multiple studios. This is the perfect way to try something new, discover a favorite medium, and experience the excitement of the fire arts.
Each day focuses on a different process:

Blown Glass: Create a glass terrarium while learning the fundamentals of working with molten glass in the hot shop.

Fused Glass: Design and build a unique glass piece, including creating a portrait using color, shape, and pattern.

Flameworking: Learn to shape molten glass at the torch and make your own set of glass beads.
Ages: 12–18. No experience required. All materials provided.
Please Note: Cancellations made at least one week prior to the class will be fully refunded. Cancellations made the week of the class will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the class will not be refunded.
THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS APPLY TO ALL ARTISTS AND STUDENTS IN ALL WATER STREET GLASSWORKS CLASSES AND STUDIOS, REGARDELSS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Long pants/jeans are required. No Shorts.
- Wear only natural fiber fabrics; 100% cotton is recommended.
- Wear closed toed, non-skid shoes and socks. No sandals.
- Wear long sleeved shirts or short sleeves with arm protection. Kevlar sleeves are provided.
- Long hair must be tied back
